Earth day inspiration,

My Ode to Mother Earth....

We kiss the sky

While the world dies,

We raise our hands

But litter our land.

We speak of freedom,

But we kill and eat them,

We value our “things”,

but we've lost our wings.

We are chained to coins,

Our hands no longer join.

Dear brother don’t let me go blind,

For I have seen,

For I have been.

The world is not mine,

I am hers, I am hers.

We kill the trees,

Pollute the seas.

Neglect the bees,

who are we.

We are one,

Together strong,

Here one day,

The next we’re gone.

Each must take time,

To heal and be kind,

To respect and remind,

Waken and unwind,

The Earth is our mother,

Our sister and our brother,

Our home and our nest,

Tis where we lay to rest.
